Description:
The NTE842 is a monolithic silicon integrated circuit in a 16-Lead DIP type package designed to perform IF amplification, tuner AGC, and composite sync-separation functions in color or monochrome
TV receivers.

PIN diodes are used in the IF amplifiers for gain control, resulting in increased dynamic range and
better signal-to-noise ratio.
