The socket on this adapter accepts a standard U.S. (North American) 2 pin un-grounded plug and changes it to a standard 2 pin un-grounded Euro 2 pin plug used in France, German Sweden, Italy, Netherland and other countrie's socket.

This plug does not change the voltage - only the plug type.
